In February we asked, “Will Platinum ever regain its lustre?”

Well, we had to wait several more months since that post, but I’d say, with Platinum up 20% since then, the answer is Yes!

At the end of May it broke through the $1000 level, and it hasn’t looked back since.  In June alone it was up 18%!

A short term pull back may be in order, but look for it to test the $1380 level- the 2021 high.  After that? A run for $1700 is not out of the question!

In the equities $SBSW and the newly spun-out Valterra $VALT (Amplats) are the best pure play equities —Sibanye, up +100% YTD (!) also produces gold.
